I'm confusing myself with the storylines. I'm writing seven interrelated standalone books with an overlapping general plot. Return to Zero's already confusing enough by itself with its weird format. I guess I'll have to put an eight to ten year difference in between Ren and the other characters. I'm planning for these stories to be read on their own or as a series in any order.
Return to Zero's a story about an artificial human soldier. She was created using data gathered from a criminal, like the other Numbers. She was trained since "birth" to kill. At ten years old, she's sent to blend into society and act as an undercover assassin, eliminating the ones the government has deemed undesirable.
Retrace is about a writer struggling with an unrecorded disease. She attempts to write the story of the assassin in Return to Zero.
Rewrite is the story following the MC of Retrace's death. Her friend is having a hard time dealing with her death, so he deludes himself into thinking her brother is her because of their similar attitude.
Cantarella is a one-sided romance story. It's about a bodyguard/butler and his obsessive love for his mistress, who happens to be a part of the government resistance group.
Monochromatic is the story of a genius scientist creating soldiers for Cantarella's group. She drags in a survivor from an assassination from Return to Zero. The story is written from the survivor's POV.
Sortir de son Silence is the first side of a story. It focuses on the mute butler's side of the story.
Facade d'Honnetete is the second side. It focuses on the master's side of the story. It explains his view on their relationship.
